How Do I Apply?

STEP 1: Assess your potential membership level
Please use the Interactive Membership Diagnostic above to assess your potential level of membership. The diagnostic will recommend a membership level based on your answers and provide you with the necessary information and application form options to complete your submission.
STEP 2: Complete your IPM Application
There are numerous ways of submitting your application form; written, electronically (Microsoft Word) or online (immediate submission), subject to the membership level recommendation the diagnostic provides. Once you have chosen your submission method click the appropriate link on the diagnostic to download the necessary form. Please ensure you follow the IPM Guidance Notes (downloadable below) provided to ensure you complete all necessary sections. All online forms have been created complete with inbuilt IPM Guidance Notes so applicants do not need to download copies.
Please note that all applications are subject to a £90 assessment fee, which should be submitted with your application. Alternatively, applicants can forward their current CV to the IPM by using our online CV Submission form (written CV Submission is available on request) and we will assess your membership level based on the content (£140 assessment fee). Your CV must cover basic information, including;
• Contact Details
• Education
• Work Experience
The IPM will follow up any applications if more information is needed.
Please note that this initial payment does not include your IPM annual membership fee as applicants are still subject to membership election by the IPM Board. Membership assessment fees are non-refundable.
STEP 3: Submit your IPM Application

STEP 4: Confirmation & Payment
When the IPM receives your application and assessment fee you will receive an email confirmation of receipt. Your application will then enter into the IPM membership election process, which takes 4-6 weeks. When your application has been assessed and your election to membership (and membership level) has been confirmed by the IPM Board you will be invoiced for your IPM annual membership fee with details of how to proceed with payment.
Once IPM receives payment the Institute will release your IPM Membership Certificate, IPM E-Academy username and password, and IPM Member Code of Conduct .
