Directly linked to our taught MSc in Place Management and Leadership, this short course introduces you to the fundamentals of place management and leadership from an interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder perspective. It will be delivered over a 4-month period, with tailored support and bespoke resources to support you with your study. The course content will be delivered via week-by-week seminars online and will cover:
Students will be expected to complete two assignments, and, upon successful completion are eligible to continue their studies with advanced standing on one of our postgraduate programmes (Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Masters of Science in Place Management and Leadership).

The short course will commence with the one-day masterclass in Place Leadership (21st January), you will study alongside our postgraduate students, attending weekly content and lecture sessions.
From the week commencing 25th January, we will host weekly lectures, the weekly sessions will take place on a set day and time mutually agreed by the group to best-fit round work lives. Weekly sessions will cover the topics listed above.
As part of the short course, you will be expected to complete two assignments over the 4 month period. These will assignments will be set on Friday 22nd January. The first assignment will be due in early March and the second assignment due in late April, these dates will be confirmed in the new year before the start of the course. Your assessments will be marked on a pass/fail basis.
In order to pass the assessments, we recommend you spend at least 5 hours-a-week on independent study (on top of weekly content sessions), which will most likely increase in the weeks leading up to assignment deadlines.
