Director of Communications and Engagement at Better Bankside

The BID Foundation members, Better Bankside Business Improvement District are seeking an exceptional individual to become their Director of Communications and Engagement.

It is a newly created leadership role in response to the growing BID area, a larger membership and increased ambition of the organisation. The postholder will develop and lead a coherent communications strategy that raises Better Bankside’s profile as an innovative, thought-leading organisation, and celebrates Bankside’s character, building on the area’s reputation as one of the world’s greatest neighbourhoods.

The Director of Communications and Engagement will also be responsible for enhancing breadth and depth of engagement with our business membership, community stakeholders and partners. Better Bankside are looking for an experienced problem solver and creative thinker, to bring forward new ideas that benefit business and improve the experience of the area.

The job offers a unique opportunity to get involved in Better Bankside's wide-ranging programme of work and make a real impact within their BID area and beyond. They currently have a small team of fifteen in the Bankside office, plus wardens and street cleaning teams. The BID works with members through a set governance structure providing an extended network of regular collaborators and contributors.
