Simon is invaluable to IPM and his expertise and knowledge of high streets and town centres are second to none, therefore cover whilst he recovers will involve a number of individuals to ensure all our key projects are adequately staffed and supported.

Matt Colledge is the former leader of Trafford Council and is currently Director at IntoPlaces, a place management consultancy. Matt has been supporting IPM and HSTF through his work as a Fellow, HSTF Board Member and HSTF Expert. Matt will join the team as acting HSTF Project Director, assisting with communications with the board, liaising with Experts and Local Authorities and improving project delivery.

Joe Barratt will now work for the IPM team 4 days a week taking on additional responsibility within the HSTF supporting the Sector Leaders Group, being the first point of call for new enquiries about the HSTF as well as supporting on new product and content development.

Tom Hindmarch has been involved in the work of IPM for nearly four years, in addition to his responsibilities for IPM, Tom will help lead and develop the ‘Developing Place Leaders’ product, a one-day workshop that will be delivered in partnership with all England's Local Enterprise Partnerships, and which has recently been delivered to SELEP.

Gareth Roberts and Cionna Evans will continue to coordinate HSTF delivery but are now taking on responsibility for contract compliance and risk.

In addition to his day to day role, Simon undertook a lot of external speaking engagements disseminating the great work of the Task Force and IPM, Matt Colledge, Matthew Davis and Joe Barratt will cover many of the requests, but they will also be supported by Senior Fellows and the wider research team who have a wealth expertise in place management.

Fellows of the IPM that have successfully completed the MSc in Place Management and Leadership are also starting to work with the core team on new research and innovation projects.
