The Institute of Place Management is proud to congratulate five students who have successfully graduated from the Place Management and Leadership programme at Manchester Metropolitan University this summer - three achieving their MSc and two completing the Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip).
This specialist postgraduate programme is designed for working professionals seeking to advance their careers in place leadership, regeneration, and placemaking. By combining academic study with practical application, it equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to tackle the complex challenges facing towns, cities, and regions today.
Dr Chloe Steadman, Programme Leader for Place Management and Leadership, said:
"We are so proud of our graduates, who have shown real commitment to their professional development, while working in demanding place-based roles. It is a big achievement balancing a postgraduate degree with place management practice and personal lives and so they should all be very proud! With growing demand for skilled place managers, there’s never been a better time to apply."
We extend special congratulations to this year’s graduates and the dissertation topics of those who graduated with the MSc reflect the diversity and relevance of issues in the field:
These five now become part of the IPM and Man Met Alumni. IPM members will have the opportunity to meet some of these new graduates and hear about their research in future online events.
Applications are now open for the next cohort starting in January 2026. The part-time, flexible structure makes it ideal for those balancing study with work commitments.
