Celebrating Town Success with Visa: Lunchtime Webinars Featuring Award-Winning Places

The Institute of Place Management is proud to partner with Visa and Stonehaven to host two special lunchtime webinars celebrating the winners of the Visa #LetsCelebrateTowns Awards.

These short, engaging sessions will spotlight the towns leading the way in creating vibrant, inclusive, and resilient places. Hosted by Ian Harvey SFIPM FRSA, Head of IPM and one of the judges for the awards, the conversations will feature local place leaders sharing their insights and experiences.

Join us from 12:00–12:30pm for the two webinars:

  • Monday 19th May – Focus on #Northwich
  • Tuesday 27th May – Focus on #Shrewsbury

In each session, you’ll hear first-hand:

  • Why they entered the awards
  • What made their application stand out
  • How the award has benefited their town
  • Tips for potential applicants
  • How they’ve used the prize funding to support local priorities

The Visa #LetsCelebrateTowns Awards recognise and reward towns across the UK that are delivering exceptional local initiatives to improve their high streets and strengthen community life. As part of Visa’s wider commitment to supporting thriving local economies, the awards provide not only recognition, but funding to help scale and sustain impactful projects.

If you're thinking about entering this year’s awards, this is a great opportunity to ask questions, gain insights, and get inspired by what success looks like in practice.

Register now to attend the informal sessions by emailing Rach Nickeas at ipm@mmu.ac.uk
