Manchester Metropolitan University has achieved its highest-ever position in the Guardian University Guide, ranked 33rd in the UK - an impressive climb of 24 places in just one year.
This milestone follows a year of exceptional achievements for the University. In August, we were shortlisted for University of the Year by the Daily Mail, a recognition of our rising reputation, outstanding teaching, and commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
For the Institute of Place Management, based at Manchester Metropolitan University, this is more than a university milestone. It strengthens the platform from which we support place managers through professional development, applied research, and by preparing the next generation of students entering the profession.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Malcolm Press CBE said:
“Breaking into the top 40 is a clear sign of our progress and growing reputation… a University that is inclusive, supportive, and aspirational, and where people truly thrive.”
That same ambition drives IPM: shaping the future of place management, inspiring students, and producing research that helps practitioners deliver places where people and businesses thrive.
Whether you are looking to begin your career through an apprenticeship, advance your professional development by studying with us, or engaging with our research, Manchester Met’s continued success means there has never been a better time to get involved with the Institute of Place Management.
