The Institute of Place Management is pleased to welcome the 2026 intake of postgraduate students, who have now begun their studies on the Place Management programme.
Students joining the course come from a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of place management and its relevance to towns, cities, neighbourhoods, regions, and communities. Over the coming months, they will explore how places are shaped, managed, and experienced, engaging with contemporary challenges such as town centre transformation, community engagement, sustainability, governance, and inclusive growth.
The programme combines academic insight with practice-based learning, drawing on real-world case studies, applied research, and contributions from practitioners working across the public, private, and third sectors. Students will also be introduced to the work of the Institute of Place Management and its international research, policy, and professional networks, helping to bridge theory and practice from the outset of their studies.
Welcoming the new cohort, Dr Chloe Steadman, Programme Lead, said she was delighted to see the 2025 intake begin their studies and looked forward to getting to know the students more as the course progresses. She highlighted the value of building strong relationships with students throughout the programme, supporting their development as reflective, confident, and practice-ready place professionals.
We look forward to working with the 2026 postgraduate students and supporting them as they begin their journey in place management.
