IPM to host #indiehour

Manchester City Centre - photographed 4th November 2020

#Indiehour founded and hosted by Richard Shorney, is the weekly Twitter debate that brings independent businesses and individuals engaged in local high streets together for an hour of informal chat as well as sharing ideas and best practice. It regularly gets a reach of 400k people a week. On 10th November 8pm-9pm we are calling on IPM members, partners and friends to join in and get involved in the debate.

We want to understand how the second lockdown is effecting high street businesses around the country, ahead of our event on Friday 13th November revisiting our recovery framework. We will also be answering questions on the High Streets Task Force which is providing advice and support to place leaders and managers responsible for managing high streets and town centres during this challenging time. We’ll also look ahead to what this Christmas period might look like with the lockdown provisionally set to end on 2nd December.

The IPM team including Simon Quin, Cathy Parker, Steve Millington, Regine Saga Sonderland and Gaz Shaw will be involved in the hour-long discussion, you can join in with #indiehour (or find the discussion from  @placemanagement).

We hope you can join us on Tuesday 8pm-9pm #indiehour
