A Leeds Welcome to UKREiiF

As Leeds hosted the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), LeedsBID provided a distinct welcome for those people coming into the city, including the 6,000 delegates in town for the conference.

Out and about across the city, The BID’s ‘Welcome Hosts’ were on hand for that more personal welcome, providing a friendly face, and essential tourist information while helping people navigate their way across the city.

In addition, the new Welcome to Leeds digital media vehicle could be spotted at key locations, conveying essential daily information as well as advertising city events and activities. The fully electric vehicle, fitted with solar panels, is the first of its kind utilised by a Business Improvement District in the UK.

LeedsBID’s Welcome to Leeds platform – its official guide to the wider Leeds story, celebrating all that is great about the city – has a pop-up presence in Leeds Railway Station and Leeds Dock as well as an interactive activity hub in Leeds Corn Exchange, where people can pop in to learn more about what’s on offer in the city.

It is essential to create and maintain a great city centre experience for those who visit Leeds as well as for those who live and work here. We wanted to give everyone, including the 6,000 delegates that descended on the city, a warm welcome and lasting good impression of being in Leeds.

In Leeds, we are seeing real change and transformation to future proof the city, from the high street to developments across the city from Sovereign Street to the Southbank. It’s exciting to be able to show everyone how the city is working collaboratively to raise its profile and to tell its story. – LeedsBID Chief Executive, Andrew Cooper.
